National Public Lands Day 2009

Join the Friends of Big Bend National Park on September 25-26 to celebrate National Public Lands Day.  There will be   volunteer opportunities for the public as well as behind the scenes tours and ranger talks.  This event is for all ages, and will have both half day and full day volunteer options.

San Antonio Member Event

[ June 20, 2009 6:30 pm to June 21, 2009 8:30 pm. ] June 20, 2009 – FBBNP is hosting a member event in San Antonio! 

Please join us at La Fonda on Main, from 6:30-8:30.
Appetizers and drinks are included with the $20 admission fee.
A presentation will be given by photographer Mike Marvins, and attendees will be given a briefing on the park and its future by Superitendent Bill [...]

Member Trip to Terlingua Abajo and Board of Directors Meeting

[ February 14, 2009; ] Spend your Valentine’s Day with Friends of Big Bend National Park.  We’ll take a fascinating cultural history tour with Chief of Interpretation David Elkowitz.  This trip will leave promptly at 9AM from the Panther Junction Visitor Center parking lot and head to Terlingua Abajo, stopping at the Castolon Store before heading back to PJVC.
