Hi all - I am working on a television series and am wondering if anybody here has seen the Marfa lights while in Big Bend Park and would be willing to talk to me about their experience? If so, please private message me. Thanks so much! ... See MoreSee Less
Big Bend Series #2
Bears disappeared from the Big Bend country early in the 20th century. Their recent reappearance in the National Park has created much excitement. Black bears have migrated in from the mountains of northern Mexico and established a resident population again in the park, many being spotted on New Year's Day - what a welcome to 2010! These animals are monitored, where possible, to preserve a healthy bear population and prevent dangerous visitor/bear encounters.
