It is our sad duty to report that last week Big Bend Conservancy lost two longtime supporters. Bill Zaner was a longtime license plate holder and had an eye for the park which he expressed in various artistic forms. Alvis Johnson was a founding board member of our organization, and was the nephew of Elmo Johnson, of the Johnson Ranch. We recently worked on a oral history project with Alvis, and his memories of the park before it was part of NPS were marvelous.
We salute both Bill and Alvis for their ongoing love and support of Big Bend National Park! ... See MoreSee Less
The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund provides operating funds for the Friends of Big Bend, allowing our organization to raise funds, put on special events and travel on behalf of Big Bend National Park and the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River. Together, with the donations of our members and the volunteer efforts put forth through the Friends of Big Bend National Park, we are able to make a difference.
Donating to the Annual Fund is a great way to help Big Bend National Park and to ensure that the unique qualities of this national resource are preserved and studied to benefit us all. If you would like to donate to our organization, please complete and submit our online donation form.
